如題 FON Taiwan開始囉!
之前的 FON 似乎是使用 hacked 的 linksys wireless router, 這次 FON 創辦人 martin 來台灣跟智邦談的 FON 專用 router, 好像會在這次 FON Taiwan 的推廣中亮相. 只要花 $299 預購價 (without tax/shipping) 就可以加入 FON 的行列了.
不過我比較擔心像我家這種地方(scan 出來的 wireless AP 不超過三台), 裝了 FON router 到底有沒有 traffic. 說不定好鄰居無線網路 (沒有任何鎖定 連上就能上網) 的模式比較適合我們這種地方, 反正 traffic 不大, 而 FON 比較有等價交換的感覺.
FON 有身份認證的機制, 這個比奉茶型的好鄰居無線網路好一點, 至少你的芳鄰用你的網路做壞事還有機會可以查到, 不過警察杯杯們可能就頭大了? 哈
