Moore law 尚未失敗, IBM 研發出 500GHz 的 chip

ref: Playful.com: IBM shatters speed record for chips with frozen semiconductors

這東西在攝氏零下 268 度可以 500 GHz 的時脈運作, 而在室溫"只有" 350 GHz
報導上面也指出研究能夠在 24 月之後就能達到量產的規模, 但是要走到 end-user 還有一大段時間, 因為還沒有那麼大的計算需求. (如果 PlayStation 4 可以跑 300GHz 應該不錯啊, 怎麼會沒需求呢?)

P=fCV^2，所以如果 C & V 相差不大，300GHz 是 3GHz 的 100 倍，耗電量也大概是 100 倍。比如說玩個 console 要 5000 Wh。
